The CGIAR Science Council is currently undertaking a Stripe Review of Social Sciences. It aims to take stock of the productivity, roles and capacities of social sciences in the CGIAR; and to identify constraints and challenges and their corresponding recommendations for improvement.
The Stripe Review is targeted to be completed in September 2009 and will involve collection of existing information and visits to selected Centers. Prof Christopher Barret from Cornell University has been appointed chair of the Review Committee. For more information about the Stripe Review, see www.sciencecouncil.cgiar.org. |
